The Game
A player can elect to play combinations of the four games offered each play day. The assumption of the participants is a player will play all games for a total bet of $5. If a player intends to play less than all the games MAKE IT KNOWN before play begins. Wagers are paid in the club house at the end of the round. Please bring the correct change.
1) Three or two hole net skins (two hole with 11 or more players) - $2
2) 3 Best low nets - $1; must be in game 1.
3) Closest to pin (CTPs, aka greenies) on the four par 3s - $1
4) Progressive - $1; must be in game 3
Three or two hole net skins: Two hole skins is played when eleven players join the game with a wager. A player must have a handicap index recognized by the TGOB group to play skins. Regardless of the individual’s handicap index, one stroke per hole is the maximum used to determine a skin net score. The men’s HDC hole rating on the score card determines which holes are handicapped. Skins are won by having the lowest net score on each set of two or three holes, beginning with hole #1. A round starting on #10 is paired with #9 when playing two hole skins. A skin is awarded to a winless player having the lowest net round score. Net score is the gross score minus FULL handicap. Tied players count back. Count back begins with #18, #17, etc., until tie is broken. Payout is determined by dividing the number of skins into the pot. All skins are rounded down to the nearest dollar ($12pot/5skins = $2, $2 residual.) A residual is carried over to the next round and added to the skin pot or left as a table tip at the whim of those present.
Three Low Nets: A wager in the net skins game is needed to qualify for a low net wager. A player must have a handicap index recognized by the TGOB group to play. Net score is the gross score minus FULL handicap. Lowest net - 50%, 2nd & 3rd - 50%. Tied players count back. Count back begins with #18, #17, etc., until tie is broken. Player need not be present to win.
Closest to pin (CTPs, aka Greenies) on the four par 3s: The ball on the green closest to the cup from the tee shot and resting on the green wins. The location of the ball is to be marked at the front edge of the ball with a tee pushed into green with a paper tag identifying the player. If a ball doesn't come to rest on a green the $0.25 per player is pushed and divided by the par 3 holes a tee ball successfully came to rest on the green.
The
Progressive Game requires a minimum of 7 players. A player must make a wager in
CTP game in order to make a wager in the Progressive Game. Each wager is $1.
Two CTP’s (Greenies)
will be required to become qualified for the Progressive Game. To win the
Progressive Game, a player must again be successful by having a minimum of two
winning CTP’s in a future round,( This winning player will have been the first
to have qualified and to follow with a second minimum two CTP wins ).Once
the Progressive Game is at $25 and a round is completed without a winner, the
Progressive wager for the day will be combined with the CTP wager and paid to
CPT winners of the day .The Progressive Game payout is the accumulated
wagers ( capped at $25 ), plus the wagers paid into the “Pot” on the day it is
won, minus 10% vigorish.
A player who
wins all four CTP’s in the same day round, will be a Progressive Pot winner and
be entitled to either $50 minimum payout or double the progressive pot fund
plus the day’s wager, minus the 10% vigorish, whichever is greater.
These new
rules should protect the monies contributed by our frequent players. With the
potential of extra $ being moved into CTP game, it is anticipated there will be
a more equitable distribution of money to those players only winning one
“Greenie” in a round.
With the exception of the above rule changes,
all Bets, Payouts, Caps, Etc. will remain intact.
